CRAVING MARZIPAN?

MATSCHFUSS LÜBECK

Of course, the Marzipan City can't be missed on our gravel discovery tour! So join us in Lübeck to create unforgettable moments together and experience incredible things on your bike.

NO RACE

Mudfoot is not a race, but the best day you can spend on two wheels.

We organize everything for you. All you have to do is show up and enjoy. The most important thing should always be clear: Have fun riding and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

THE ROUTES

As always, the routes will only be revealed shortly before the start, as we love to surprise you. It's best to have a bike computer, as the route will be followed by GPS. Signs will only be placed at particularly interesting spots!

PROCESS

8:00 AM - Event grounds open at the VFB Lübeck premises

9:30 AM - Event briefing and code of conduct announcement

10:00 AM - Start of the Mud Run

6:00 PM - Live music on the event grounds and food trucks

FOOD & NUTRITION

A central point of every Matschfuss: Culinary delights. Already before the start, you can strengthen yourselves with various delicacies. Special treat: We start on the grounds of VFB Lübeck, at Lohmühle 13, 23554 Lübeck with our friends from CycleRoasters! Along the way, you'll get the usual awesome checkpoints with food and drinks to keep you ready for the gravel. Of course, still pack gels or bars and water, because it's better to be safe than sorry! At the finish, there will be a delicious (non-alcoholic) beer and food trucks!

We will publish the routes as GPX and on komoot only shortly before the event. The route will be between 100KM and 120KM long and will demand everything from you. But don't worry, we have prepared beautiful checkpoints for you.

Nature and Codex

  1. We respect nature – we leave nothing behind but our tire tracks.
  2. We respect and support our fellow riders – fairness comes first.
  3. There is no place for racism, exclusion or discrimination here.
  4. We ride with each other, not against each other – the shared journey counts just as much as the destination.

Travel and Accommodation

The event will take place at Cycle Roasters coffee roastery & coffee school (Einsiedelstr. 6). There will be parking spaces near the start and finish. However, we recommend coming directly by bike!

Checkpoints

There will be a checkpoint on the route on Saturday after approx. 60 km. Food and drinks will be waiting for you there, and you'll also have the opportunity to refill your bottles with water. Vegan options will also be available for food.

9:30 AM - Event Briefing and Codex Announcement

10:00 AM - Matschfuss Race Starts

6:00 PM - Live Music on the Event Grounds and Food Trucks

Bicycle and equipment

You need a bike, and it absolutely must be off-road capable! A gravel bike is highly recommended; MTBs are also fine. We advise you to choose tires at least 40 mm wide; wider is better. The tread should also be suitable for loose surfaces and, if necessary, mud (knobby). Definitely bring tire levers and spare tubes so you don't get stranded. A bike computer also makes sense, as the route will be followed by GPS and is not signposted.
